At RunXpert, we believe in complete transparency. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we need it to run our virtual marathons and club events, and how we keep it safe. By using our website and mobile app, you consent to these practices.

1. Information We Collect

To provide you with the best running experience, we collect the following:

Profile & Contact Data: Name, email address, phone number, gender, and date of birth used to categorize race categories (e.g., age groups).
Shipping Information: Physical mailing addresses required strictly to deliver event deliverables like physical medals and T-shirts.
Payment Information: We use secure third-party payment gateways (like Razorpay) for event registrations. RunXpert does not store your credit card or UPI details on our servers.
Device & Usage Data: IP address, device model, operating system, and crash logs to help us fix app bugs and improve performance.

2. Location Data & Background Tracking

To facilitate virtual marathons, the RunXpert mobile app requires access to your device's GPS location.

Background Location: RunXpert collects location data to enable live run tracking, calculate your total distance, and generate race routes even when the app is closed or not in use.
User Control: Tracking only occurs when you actively tap "Start Run". You can stop tracking at any time, and you can revoke location permissions via your device settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

To validate your virtual marathon distance and update global leaderboards.
To generate your e-certificates and personalized runner BIBs.
To ship physical goods (medals, apparel) to your provided address.
To send essential transaction emails (receipts, registration confirmations).

4. Who We Share Your Data With

We never sell your data. We only share it with specific entities to make your events happen:

Event Organizers & Club Admins: Organizers of the specific race you registered for receive your name, age category, and race results to manage the event. They do not receive your password or financial data.
Logistics Partners: Courier services receive your name and phone number to deliver your physical medals and T-shirts.
Other Runners: Fellow club members can only see your public running achievements and leaderboard rankings. Your private contact details remain hidden.

5. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to maintain your running history and comply with legal accounting obligations.

Your Right to Delete: You can request the complete deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. You can do this directly within the App's account settings, or by emailing us at contact.runxpert@gmail.com. Upon request, all non-essential data will be permanently erased within 30 days.

6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our website utilizes cookies to keep you logged in securely and to analyze web traffic. You can clear or disable cookies via your mobile browser settings, though this may require you to log in more frequently.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/SSL) to protect your data during transit. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as we add new features (like new mobile app integrations). Significant changes will be communicated to you via the email address linked to your account.
